Luxner News Inc., founded in 1995 by veteran journalist and photographer Larry Luxner, maintains a digital file of more than 18,000 images from 93 countries.
Our focus has traditionally been on Latin America and the Caribbean, though we also have an extensive and growing collection of images from the United States, Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
From Albania to Zimbabwe, our photographs depict an impressive variety of topics including agriculture, anthropology, archaeology, aviation, banking, cities, construction, commodities, ecology, finance, geography, geology, history, oil and gas, manufacturing, mining, politics, poverty, religion, shipping, tourism, trade, telecommunications, urban life, wildlife and zoology.
Whether you're looking for a striking image of Cuban salsa dancers, Arab shopkeepers in Honduras, a sunset over Beirut, a seaplane landing in the Maldives (see picture at left) — or even a traditional village celebration in Mozambique — Luxner News Inc. can help.
Use our searchable database to find exactly what you need, then contact us for details. We offer quality photos at competitive rates, and can e-mail high-resolution scans or have CDs overnighted to you in most cases.
Luxner News Inc. is listed in the stock photo industry's two leading annual publications: the PhotoSourceBook and the AGPix Blue Book. We regularly supply color images of Argentina, Ecuador, Paraguay and other Spanish-speaking nations for Franklin Watts/Children's Press, which publishes country-specific geography textbooks for elementary school students.
In addition, Luxner News Inc. has provided images for the annual reports of several Fortune 500 firms. In late 2004, a dozen of our images depicting Jewish life in the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa were selected for inclusion in "The Diaspora and The Lost Tribes of Israel," a coffee-table book published by Hugh Lauter Levin Associates.
